CSA Program

Century Farm’s CSA (Community Supported Agriculture) program provides your family with a weekly share of fresh, Organically-grown vegetables in season, delivered to central locations throughout Green Bay. As a CSA member, your investment provides the needed capital to plant, raise, and harvest the produce you receive.
The CSA also provides you with the opportunity to support a local, family farm, involved in environmentally-sound food production. As mentioned elsewhere, none of the food we grow or distribute has been genetically modified or raised with chemicals, pesticides, or hormones.
Many people are concerned with the food they buy, because they don’t know what has been sprayed or injected into the food, or how the food was raised and produced. As a shareholder of Century Farm’s CSA, your mind will be at ease, because the vegetables go from the healthy soil straight to you!
Joining Century Farm’s CSA program has significant social and economic considerations as well. Consider our statistic from earlier that the average food item in this country travels about 1,500 miles before it is sold. With that in mind, what better way to ensure fresh, healthy food than to join a local program such as this? Instead of paying prices that have been inflated by transportation, packaging and distribution, you are paying a direct cost— from the garden to you.
Our CSA also provides your family with dietary diversity, and the opportunity to eat indigenous foods seasonally. It allows your family to make a direct connection with the food you put in your body, and also the people who are growing it. Please note that while the chart above represents a good estimate of the type of produce that will be in your box throughout the season, we’re always experimenting with growing new vegetables, and additional items may or may not appear in your box. Availability is determined by the growing season.
As a Century Farm CSA Member, you will also receive:
A weekly newsletter containing updates from the farm, as well as health information, recipes, ideas on what to do with your veggies, and much more!
